I’d been meaning to scan this for a while, Olafur Eliasson‘s Moss Wall, which consists of living arctic moss. While we’ve posted about pictorial or textual uses of moss before, I like that this work was done in 1994 and exists as just a large span of green. So, in thinking about our past interest in relocating moss, and my anticipation that we’ll want to think about this more when spring comes around, I wanted to get this posted as a reference for later.

anyone ever hear about moss grafitti?
I’m on my iTouch , so I can’t post a link.
yes, we looked at Edina Tokodi’s work before… she’s doing some really incredible stuff… would be good to collect some more reference points though.
i was saying last night how i thought yogurt would make moss grow, but i was forgetting about the moss ingredient. i kept thinking something didn’t sound right.

guess we will have to wait till it’s warmer to try it out.
ahhh… that makes sense, I was having trouble figuring out how yogurt alone would make moss grow… but yes, in the spring, it will certainly have to be one of our projects.
In the meantime, any ideas for some test sites?
