Broken City Lab held its first public demo today—we showed incoming visual arts students how to make seedbombs! Here’s our recipe: 1 part seeds, 1 part clay, 1 part coffee grounds, 8 parts soil, 1 part water.
We used drought-tolerant wildflower seeds from Vesey’s and origami instructions from Michelle’s sister.
First, we taught everyone how to make a box to hold the seedbombs in afterwards. We learned it pays to make good folds.
Danielle, Josh, and Michelle lead the origami demo.

The madness begins—Danielle and Michelle lead the demo on making the seedbombs to the first group.

Really successful morning, I think between the demos and the present ation I gave, lots of people are interested in the lab and making things happen (and grow). Tomorrow night is the Dance Party!!!!!!
